Deep Creek Lake race this May!!!

Wisp Resort race this Spring on Deep Creek Lake!! If you have not paddled on Deep Creek Lake yet you are missing out, its one of the best places to paddle in Maryland. Clean water, mountain views, 65 miles of shoreline, tons of things to do after paddling. They are having a race this spring, more details will come out soon but here is a brief look at what they are planning. Sounds like they will also have deals on hotel rooms for around $69 a night at their resort. Stay tuned

It was originaly going to be the weekend of May 17th - 20th but there were 4 other races that day so they decided to move it up a week to May 10th-12th.

May 10 – 12 Paddle for Paws weekend -Fundraiser event for local animal shelter in McHenry, Maryland

Friday May 10

Paddleboard Clinic with ? 1pm – 5pm

Local paddle on DCL 3pm – 5pm

Sunset Paddle (ride the course) 6pm – 7pm

Packet pick up and welcome party/bonfire at Lakeside Club 7pm – 9pm

Saturday May 11

Sunrise paddle on DCL 6:30am

5k and 10k race on Deep Creek Lake – Lakeside Club 9am

Kids Race – Lakeside Club 11am Free

Cookout and Awards Party 12:30pm – Lakeside Club

Dog Paddle Race on pond at Top of Mountain 6pm

Relay Race on pond at Top of Mountain 7pm

Sunset Crit Race on pond at Top of the Mountain 8pm

Bonfire at Top of the Mountain Pond 8:30pm

Sunday May 12

Group paddle at Lakeside Club at 8am

Paddleboard Clinic with ? 9am – 1pm

Entry fee $65 includes all clinics, group paddle events, 5K or 10K race entry, tech race t-shirt, cookout, donation to Hart, entry for Sunset crit, relay race and dog paddle event
