Well it sounds like the surf to sound race in Wrightsville Beach, NC was a lot of fun and challenging to say the least haha. Neil and Chip made the trek down and they were greeted with strong winds and a choppy ocean. Neil said it was just like the Sandbridge race last year to the 3rd power! (wow), he said on his way out he got hammered pretty good by some waves and his leash broke so he ran over across the street and got into the harbor island race and took 2nd overall. Pretty impressive after going through all that to still get 2nd. Chip said it was a crazy race as well and for him to say that it must have been intense. He wore a spring suit (which im sure was nice and warm haha), he threw up salt water, and at one point he was actually worried about being out there which really sums up how rough it was but he finished really strong. He came from the back in the ocean part and worked his way up toward the front by the end of the race, great job Chip . Here is a good pick of the race course, first turn in the ocean race, and Chip finishing strong!
Dawn from OC killed it in the ladies division as usual and Ron G from OC also had a hell of a race 5th overal (BEAST). Good job guys!! Big thanks to Neil for the update on the race and the pics, next up Christmas Paddle in Annapolis then COLD STROKE.
