Sup Annapolis/Infinity crew take DC

What a great weekend for the SUP community in the Mid Atlantic!! It started on Thursday night with Infinity's Dave Boehne coming into town to show off his new sup movie (which was sick) to the Sup Annapolis crew. We had the upstairs at Dock Street downtown and had a great turnout, Dave is one of the best paddlers in the world but he is down to earth and such a chill guy. Hung out after the movie and everybody got a chance to chat with him.

 

Then Saturday Pete and Kathy put on a GREAT event in DC for the waterman's race,  Sup Annapolis had another good outing. Infinity Riders and just added Sup Annapolis riders haha Slater Trout and Dave Boehne took 1st and 2nd on their 14' Infinity's. Both of these guys are crazy fast paddlers, Slater isnt even 20 yet and he is already one of the best in the world and only getting faster.. Scary

 Denny Grant was 6th overall, which is crazy good when you see the names that were at this race.

Brian Meyer took 3rd in the 12'6 with Jeremiah Lyons right behind him in 4th

Larry Lubbers took 2nd in the Legends division

The rest of the crew were not far behind the winners.

 

 

We are lucky to have such a good crew in Naptown, gotta step up the training this off season and come in amped for 2013. One last race this year on Oct 6th in Sand bridge, VA so stay tuned.

 

Also a fun paddle on the wye island coming up, its 13 miles but not a race. I will be posting details soon.
