Surf to sound race in NC

Sup Annapolis crew traveled deep again to another race on the east coast. Neil, Emerson, Sperry, Grady, Jeff, and Greg all made the trip to Wrightsville Beach, NC this past weekend. From what it sounds like it was a blast and they had great weather (70's and sunny).

They got down there on Friday and paddled in the ocean for a bit then hit up Tower 7 for dinner which is a tradition when you go to wrightsville beach. Its worth the wait trust me!

The next day at the race Greg and Sperry finished the long ocean race in pretty windy conditions with Sperry taking 4th in the Men's 12'6. Neil, Emerson, Grady, and Jeff Cook all raced in the harbor race with Emerson taking 1st, Neil taking 2nd, and Jeff taking 4th. Emerson started in the ocean race but had a paddle issue so he ran across the street got a new one and caught the start of the bay race and pulled out the win. Neil was in front up until the last half mile where Emerson was able to edge him out by a few seconds. Sounds like it was an awesome time had by all and great racing. We will be getting a big group to head down there for the Carolina Cup in April so stay tuned.
