Great Kent Island Race

Fun times at the KIOCC's race this past weekend, very challenging course and a lot of great people. Its hard not to have fun at this race, I felt like I was gonna throw up the whole race haha (just one of those days) and yet I still had a blast. That's just how the Kiocc does things, Jim and Deb and the rest of the crew always put on a first class event and welcome everybody. It doesn't matter if its your first race ever or if you are a sponsored pro they make you feel at home. Sup had a great turnout (4 to 1 ratio sup to outrigger), Bill G took first as usual surprise surprise haha (don't you get tired of winning Bill? ).  Big shout out to Sup Annapolis Regular Denny Grant!! Denny was rocking a 14' Yolo prowler and came in right behind Bill beating a few Sponsored guys on custom made boards. Denny was hurt a month ago and is just getting back to paddling, everybody better watch out the rest of the summer. Ocean City local Ron Gossard came in behind Bill and Denny on a 12'6?!?! Yeah Ron is that fast its scary haha. Neil the machine M put in a solid performance as always and was right behind the leaders (he said before the race he was gonna take it easy??). Chris Sperry and Bryan Barton also put in great performances in the short course!! Thanks to everybody who came out to support a great group, next up is our race on July 14th, Online registration will be up and rolling tomorrow!
