Christmas Eve Paddle on the Severn












It was the Day before Christmas with 2 feet of snow on the ground, however the sun was shining and the river was calm so we ventured out. Four of us made our way out, walking through knee high snow drifts and iced roads. We launched in the Severn river right by the rt 50 bridge, the water was cold but calm and the wind died down just as we entered the water. It was only a short paddle maybe a mile or two but it was a blast. We plan on continuing this throughout the winter on some of the warmer days, if you would like to join us next time you can get on our mailing list and meet us out.
